Duality

I photographed models in the lighting studio using a digital camera with prolonged exposure. I layer, flip and distort those studio portraits in Photoshop to manipulate details and create abstractions. I find a balance between symmetric and asymmetric expressions. Sometimes I focus only on parts of bodies — I cut and collage the limbs to explore a new relationship between different parts of the human body.

The identity of the model is not the focal point in my project. Model is a general representation of the human body. Most of the time I will blur out the face.
